About Salt Studios Ireland
By facilitating your creative flow, we capture the energy of spontaeneous and unique performance. Tomorrow's sound comes from today's experiments. At SALT we serve the song, not the other way round.
Having the confidence to try new ideas and explore unknown sonic territory comes easy when you're in the right environment. SALT Studio provides the supportive atmosphere necessary for creative success. The experience and knowhow of owner, Frank Kearns, and his crew, gives you your own space and peace of mind to move your project forward within your resources.
By the sea you’ve got sand, which is earth and you’ve got the ocean, which is water. Then there’s the sea breeze which is air and if you light a cigarette you’ve got fire too. You’ve got all the elements in one place. That’s something really special. Phil Lynott (talking about Sutton)
The Irish Tourist Board will tell you that there has never been a better time to visit Dublin. That's great if you’re a tourist but it’s also good news for musicians.
Dublin is currently one of the most creative and vibrant cities in Europe and SALT Studio is within easy access of all that it has to offer.
Situated at Bayside on the Coast Road on the north side of the city, Salt is also at the right distance to save you from the distractions of the busy centre. The studio is less than 20 minutes drive from both the airport and the heart of Dublin.
The city itself is renowned for a broad range of restaurants, hotels & accommodation, cafes, gig venues (for the many high profile acts who play here), theatre and cyber cafes - if that's the kind of surf you’re after.

The immediate area around SALT is well known for its selection of places to stay. The Sutton/Howth area has accommodation to suit all budgets, from guesthouses to 5 star hotels.
If you are a visitor to Ireland you'll also get a chance to take advantage of the current favourable exchange rate. When you are in the studio you don't have to stray too far to find a space to get away from it all. Step out the door and cross the road to take a walk along the longest public urban beach in Europe.
In the other direction the coast road will take you to the unspoilt fishing village of Howth, which offers more relaxed surroundings.
If you are so inclined, Howth also has one of Dublin's best public golf courses where a round won't cost you an arm and a leg. It's also worth mentioning that a walk around the adjoining rhododendron gardens is enough revive the spirits of even the most weary and stressed of musicians.
Don't hesitate to call or e-mail us and we'll give you any further details you require.
